According to the Home Office and professional standard eligibility criteria for Tier 2 healthcare workers visa, any Nurse or Doctors wishing to live and work in the UK must meet the following;
- Be registered with the Nursing and Midwife Council (NMC), This process is very extensive and without a good support, the Nurses would find it difficult to get through the process
- English test IELT: The Nurses are expected to have a total minimum 7 (Writing 6.5 and speaking 7, Listening 7 and reading 7). This is a major hurdle for international Nurses regardless of the fact that quite a number of African countries have English language as their official and commercial language. It can be extremely difficult hence the need to provide adequate support to help the nurses get through the process. We will provide relevant material, online workshops and where necessary, signpost them to the local training institute that can help.
- Sponsorship letter: According to the Home Office, international Nurses are required to have gained employment from their home country before they can apply for the Tier 2 visa from their home country. Who would support the candidate by either acting as a third party to secure and employment for the candidates. In some cases, we will connect the candidates with potential employers. We will also support them to structure their experience and qualification in a way that will be attractive to a potential employer.
- Visa application: Most visa application refusal happens as a result of candidates entering the wrong information or not adequately providing the required information. We will support the candidate’s application to ensure that it is free of error, whilst giving the best chance of success.
- Upon obtaining the visa, we would support the candidates to gain a quick head start in the UK. We would provide information on how they can obtain their National Insurance number (NI), open bank account, register with the GP, register the kids in schools etc
